Everything Happens for a Reason

Everything happens for a reason. It's something I say all of the time, and truly believe it. As I pick through happenings in my life it sure seems ironic how if some things didn't happen then I would not be where I am today. Take this photo for instance. It is of Tower Butte, in Page, AZ. Pam and I were on a trip out in that vicinity and booked a helicopter to land us on TOP of the butte. As we took off the pilot was notified that the winds had changed on top of the butte and we could not safely land there. He offered to go back or turn it into a scenic tour, which we opted for the latter. During that flight I got this shot, which I love! And after flying around a bit, I noticed that I would have never been happy with anything I took on top of the butte because of the slight haze and flatness around, as you can see.

So, once again, everything happens for a reason. Think about that today, tomorrow and the next.
